Kyla

Kyla, known as the woman gravity forgot, is based in New York City. She is a resident at The Box and The Slipper Room, and co-producer of The Underground Cabaret. She has performed on the ground and in the air all over the world. Her work explores nuanced emotion, identity, and sexual politics, liberating the feminine from the institutionalized misogyny that is embedded in our late-stage capitalist society. As a recovering ballerina, she reclaims her autonomy with each self-authored exploration and creation, and serves as a surrogate for the shame that culture uses to repress people.
