Privacy Policy

Effective June 14, 2026

Burlesque Registry is a public community directory for burlesque performers, shows, troupes, festivals, educators, casting calls, and related listings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information You Provide

When you create an account or submit a listing, we may collect information such as your email address, stage or organization name, profile photos, gallery images, city or working areas, descriptions, websites, social links, tags, troupe affiliations, show details, venues, class details, casting calls, and messages or requests sent through the site.

If you claim or manage a troupe, show, performer, educator, festival, or other listing, we may store information needed to verify and manage that access.

Public Directory Information

Burlesque Registry is designed to publish directory information. Names, photos, bios, locations, tags, social links, shows, cast lists, troupes, festivals, educator listings, casting calls, and similar listing content may be visible to the public.

Public pages may be indexed by search engines and may remain in caches or third-party search results after information is changed or removed from Burlesque Registry.

Information Collected Automatically

We and our service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, timestamps, error logs, and security logs. We use this information to operate the site, troubleshoot issues, protect accounts, and prevent abuse.

The site uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. These cookies help users stay signed in and help protect account access. We do not currently use advertising cookies, Meta Pixel, or Google Analytics on the site.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate and display the Burlesque Registry directory.
  • Create, authenticate, and secure user accounts.
  • Let users create, edit, claim, and manage listings.
  • Send account emails, password reset emails, and confirmations.
  • Send administrative notifications about new registrations.
  • Moderate content, respond to requests, and prevent abuse.
  • Maintain, debug, and improve the site.

Public Feeds And Integrations

Burlesque Registry may make public listing data available through public or partner API feeds. These feeds are intended for uses such as city burlesque sites, producer tools, and community listings.

Public feeds are designed to expose public directory content, not private account information. We do not intentionally include account passwords, private emails, private notes, internal admin data, or management permissions in public feeds.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to run the site. These may include Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication, database, and storage, Resend for email delivery, Google Places or Maps services for address autocomplete, and GitHub for code hosting and project management.

These providers process information as needed to provide their services to Burlesque Registry.

Selling Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell user profiles, account information, or private registration details to advertisers or data brokers.

Your Choices

You may edit or remove many listings through your account where supported. You may also contact us to request help correcting, updating, or deleting account or listing information.

Some public information may remain visible in backups, logs, search engine caches, or third-party sites for a period of time after it is changed or removed.

Data Retention

We keep account, profile, and listing information for as long as it is needed to operate the registry, provide user-requested services, resolve disputes, protect the site, or comply with legal and operational obligations. We may retain logs, backups, and security records for a limited period.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including secure connections, account authentication, access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect the site and its users.

Children

Burlesque Registry is not intended for children under 13. Users should not submit personal information about children through the site.

International Users

Burlesque Registry is operated from the United States. If you use the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
