World Burlesque Day is a global celebration of burlesque, creativity, and community, happening every year on April 26th. Created by Sapphira and supported by the World Burlesque Academy, it’s a day to honor all things burlesque—from performance to artistry—in a fun, inclusive, and non-competitive space.

This year, we’re thrilled to take the celebration to the next level with exclusive workshops designed to inspire, empower, and elevate performers of all levels. Whether you want to refine your technique, explore your performance persona, or connect with fellow artists, this full-day event gives you the chance to learn from some of the most dynamic instructors in the burlesque community.

Featured Instructors:

• Daddies Favorite (Weirdo on the Rise, OK)
  Known for her bold creativity, magnetic stage presence, and fearless style, Daddies Favorite will teach the Ways of the Twirl, showing you how to add flair, finesse, and dynamic movement to your performances. All skill levels welcome—expect inspiration, laughs, and practical tips to elevate your stage presence.

• Otto Manic (Boise, ID)
  A drag king performer, educator, and former Creative Director of the LezBe Kings, Otto will lead a Makeup for Performance class designed to help you step into new characters, refine your stage look, and bring out your boldest self. Practical techniques, confidence boosts, and a playful approach make this a can’t-miss session.

• Fancy Fanny (Twin Falls, ID)
  Our own host and featured instructor, Fancy Fanny has been dazzling since 2012 as a performer, pastie artist, multi-business owner, and founder of Tassels for Tatas, a nonprofit supporting breast cancer awareness. In her Make It and Take It Workshop, participants will craft performance-ready accessories, props, or costume elements to enhance their burlesque persona. Perfect for all levels, this hands-on class blends artistry, technique, and self-expression.

  Includes entry to all three workshops, participation in hands-on sessions, access to The World Burlesque Academy live stream, snacks, and community time with fellow performers.

• Individual Workshop Pass: $30 per workshop
