The students will be performing burlesque routines that they have created, from costuming to choreography, under the guidance of their beginner burlesque course from Träshique.

Each student will have given their all in over eight weeks of classes learning to tease, twirl, and tantalize in all manners and varieties of ways. From now until the show, they will be continuing their education leading up to this exclusive and intimate glimpse into their studies.

BurLEX(ington) was founded and is operated by Kayti/Träshique—a collaborative community collective rooted in the art of burlesque in Lexington, Kentucky. Queer, revered, and widely feared, Träshique is a force of nature with a knack for a little bit of everything. A touring sideshow professional, burlesque performer, and award-winning variety artist, they own and perform with Tinderbox Circus Sideshow, serve as the Entertainment Coordinator for Lex Lez Night, and proudly claim the title of BurLEX’s chaotic and loving mastermind.

With over 15 years of experience producing, performing, and hitting the road, Träshique is no stranger to the stage—or the spectacle. They also helm International Entertainment Management for the nationally acclaimed Oddities & Curiosities Expo, providing a platform for self-employed artists across all genres. When they’re not wielding grinders, fire, or a well-timed tease, you’ll find them lending their voice to the dark carnival sounds of Lexington’s own Caravan Discordia.
