The students will be performing burlesque routines that they have created, from costuming to choreography, under the guidance of their beginner burlesque course from Träshique.

For one night only, we are celebrating the achievements of the Intro AND Cooperative burlesque students,
For many, it will be their first time in front of an audience, SO BRING YOUR LOUDEST CHEERS!

All proceeds go to benefit the BurLEX organization in support of purchasing specialized studio space.
Each student will have given their all in over eight weeks of classes learning to tease, twirl, and tantalize in all manners and varieties of ways. From now until the show, they will be continuing their education leading up to this exclusive and intimate glimpse into their studies.

BurLEX(ington) was founded and is operated by Kayti/Träshique and is a collaborative community collective based in the art form of burlesque in Lexington, Kentucky. Queer, revered, and widely feared, Träshique is a touring sideshow professional and burlesque performer with a knack for a little of everything. Träshique is the owner and a performer in Tinderbox Circus Sideshow, the Entertainment Coordinator for Lex Lez Night, and the mother of BurLEX. She is an award-winning professional performance artist focused on the variety arts and has been producing shows and touring for 13 years. She also acts as the International Entertainment Management providing a platform for self-employed artists of all genres for the nationally-acclaimed Oddities & Curiosities Expo as well as a vocalist and songwriter in Lexington's dark carnival, Caravan Discordia.

To teach empowerment, intentionality, and consent to our students, audiences, and local community through partnerships that communicate this tone.
Creating bonds and pathways between the region to elevate the art of burlesque and support our regional established groups and performers.
