Sun Day Soleil

In 2012, Sun Day Soleil, the Midwest Empress began performing and producing their own show at a crusty punk venue to fulfill a need lacking in their hometown. Soon was picked up by a troupe called Dust Bowl Dolls, the longest running troupe in Oklahoma. Together they performed at events like closing OKC Pride on the main stage. Sun guest performed for other shows such as Bang Bang Queer Punk Variety Show, Terre Rouge, Queerriety, and The Tulsa Peep Show. Picking up the producer hat back up, they began a series with Helen Grant called the Red Light Special. Debut show featured in the local transcript. When the Panera hit, Helen Grant ventured off to win a position as City Council Member. Sun went solo, rebranded, and started B.O.O.B., Babes of Oklahoma Burlesque. Their mission is to provide consistent opportunity. Sun Day Soleil is best known for their Acro Lap Dance and the Charlie Chaplin’ Greatest Speech Ever routine.
