Selia d'Katzmeow

NORTH CAROLINA: From Carpathia to Carolina, Selia d'Katzmeow is “North Carolina's very own Va Va Voom Vixen, Entertainer Extraordinaire and Classic Glam Goddess”.   That feral feline!  The pitbull of Burlesque!

Selia is an internationally published model and photographer, smut actress, acclaimed Show & Festival producer, Femcee, and Burlesque Performer. 

Beginning her career as a club dancer in 1995, Selia has always felt a pull to the stage and history of the trailblazers that came before. In 2006 d’Katzmeow found Burlesque and battled the stigma  of being both a club dancer and burlesque dancer.  Through experience, trial and error, and eventually coming to live fully and authentically- Selia has come into acceptance, empowerment, healing, and a healthy dose of confidence to bring with her onto each stage and into life.

Selia founded Burlesk! productions in Greensboro NC in 2008 and hosted a monthly show, revitalizing the Burlesque movement in the town until she moved on in 2010. In 2010, Selia co-founded Carolina Burlesque Festival , circa 2010-2013.  For several years, Selia produced and hosted the Burlesque Showcase at the Bull City Rumble in Durham NC. 

Selia has participated /produced Winston Salem’s own HRW’s Wiggle Room for over a decade, rounding out the final 2022 Wiggle Room at 22 years of HRW.   Selia has been accepted and performed in several other Burlesque Festivals nationwide. She continues to perform regionally and produces/hosts/performs  shows with Camel City Burlesk; and, manages Haus d’Katzmeow , an inclusive space for those who want to heal, grow, love, and come into authenticity through art and movement.

Given the gift of gab, Selia is a seasoned host/femcee , boasting 15 years of running her yap,  captivating audiences,  and  introducing performers with her own form of entertainment. She is a public speaker,  teacher,  and has degrees and certifications in healthy communication.
