Natasha Riot
Dubbed the "Glam Metal Morticia", Natasha Riot is a multi disciplined, award winning, and resplendently eerie & strange performer. She is the producer and emcee of Burlynomicon, a darkly decadent burlesque and variety show running every 2nd Tuesday at the Coffin Club in Portland, OR, and during the year + that shall not be mentioned, kept the delightfully dreary show alive in the realm of the interwebs. She is also the creator and Co-producer of the newest gothic performance arts festival, UMBRAE NOCTIS, in Portland, Or. Natasha is currently the only female emcee at Sinferno Cabaret, one of the longest running variety shows on the West Coast, as well as being in their rotating cast of performers. She is also one of the house bellydancers at Marrakesh Restaurant, and can be found shimmying up a storm locally and internationally. Natasha's diverse performance range includes varying styles of neo-burlesque - from more classic fan work with live jazz musicians to embodying beloved cartoon characters, from rocking out to slowing it down and getting eerie. She is also a 25+ year student of Raks Sharqi and fusion bellydance, bringing a thoughtful and respectful nature to those performances. Natasha is one of the rotating fire performance cast members at Sinferno Cabaret, enthralling audiences with her cache of unique and handmade fire apparati. She is also a sought after emcee, keeping audiences engaged monthly at Burlynomicon and Sinferno Cabaret, and has been the fancy talking lady at the Oregon Burlesque Festival and Metalesque Fest, as well as at various productions in the PNW. Natasha teaches private classes and workshops in dance movement and performance skills. Her past life(s) included touring as a featured performer and crew member with the band, Beats Antique, being stage manager and performer and occasional co-emcee with the Hubba Hubba Revue (SF), touring around the world performing and teaching burlesque and fusion dance, and living off the land in a remote village while running a dance school in a neighboring town. She could teach you about the engine of your old Toyota pickup while listening to Dokken and subsequently suggesting how you might move your body...and perhaps your mind...more effortlessly through life. She's also the 2017 Queen of the Roses and the 2016 winner of the Keepin it Weird award as dubbed by the Oregon Burlesque Festival, as well as being the runner up in both the 2018 Shimmy Showdown (St. Louis) and the 2017 Miss Exotic Oregon competitions.
