Lady Cara

Lady Cara is a lifelong addict of the Australian theatre scene. A "bold and brassy" stage presence with "lungs for days" audiences revel in her honest and comic delivery. Her cabaret credits include her debut sellout show Guilty Pleasures, as an invitational performer for the Australian Burlesque festival, as resident MC for the co-produced Burlesque-O-Rama (SA) and other national performances. On TV and film she has hosted The Project(ch10), headlined national marketing campaigns for Bank SA and others, appeared on various national morning programs, won in game shows such as Million Dollar Minute and appeared in a variety of films as an extra. Her musical theatre credits include Cassandra in the SA Premiere of Jon English’s Paris with lead roles in numerous Sondheim productions. A dedicated scene dresser, costume and prop maker, Cara has over 15 full musicals to her creative credit. Cara has also spent the last 15 years producing Cabaret and burlesque shows as director of Burly Q Events(SA). An award winning performer as well as a Marriage Celebrant, "Lady" Cara proudly identifies as a disabili-plus babe. She tackles ADHD, hyper-flexibility, Scoliosis, and spondylolisthesis/ Pars Defect and chronic pain from her muscle and skin conditions, head on.
