🍯🖤 Meet Honey Valentine 🖤🍯 Sweet, spicy, and just a little bit wicked. 💋 Based in Johnson City, Tennessee, Honey Valentine is a new burlesque performer and proud student of Adoration Studio. After two years of dancing, she recently took the stage for her debut performance at New Beginnings, and she’s only getting started. ✨ Her aesthetic? Gothic vintage pinup meets divine feminine. Think sultry silhouettes, old-school glamour, dark romance, and a little bit of honey-sweet temptation. 🕯️🍯 Honey’s performances are rooted in a love for gothic romance, sensuality, authenticity, and unapologetic femininity — celebrating the woman who knows what she wants, isn’t afraid to ask for it, and refuses to dim herself to make others comfortable. A little mysterious. A little mischievous. Sweet & spicy in all the right ways. 💋 Available for shows in the Tri-Cities TN area as well as Asheville. 💙🦇

I’m Your Man

3 minutes

I'm Your Man - Leonard Cohen
“I’m Your Man” — Leonard Cohen Who do you want me to be? My interpretation of Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man” is an esoteric exploration of female desire, projection, and identity. The song is unapologetically masculine—a man offering himself as whatever his lover desires. I wanted to turn that idea on its head. Rather than presenting a woman as the object of someone else’s fantasy, I become the fantasy itself. Throughout the number, I play with the idea that I could be whoever you want me to be: lover, temptation, sweetheart, seductress, dream girl, villain, muse. The audience is invited to project their own desires onto me while simultaneously being reminded that the woman standing before them is the one controlling the fantasy. That is the heart of the act. Burlesque is often associated with being looked at, but there is something incredibly powerful about choosing exactly how you are looked at. There is power in becoming desirable on your own terms, and even more power in knowing that you don’t actually belong to the person desiring you. The masculine voice of the song becomes almost an incantation—a vessel through which I explore feminine sexuality, performance, and the ancient tension between being desired and being the one who desires. The wow factor comes from that contradiction: You think you’re watching a woman perform for you. Then you realize you’re watching her decide what you get to see. Every reveal becomes another layer of the question: Am I what you wanted… or did I simply become what you were willing to imagine? And by the end, perhaps the answer doesn’t matter. Because I could be your fantasy. I could be your temptation. I could be your lover. I could be your muse.
