Hi! I'm Hans Ferdinand! I run this site! I'm a neo-burlesque performer with over 10 years of experience in the Austin scene. I'm known primarily for my comedic neo-burlesque style where I perform as various pop culture icons, ranging from The Count from Sesame Street, Colonel Sanders, and even the Declaration of Independence.

I really hope you like the site! Reach out to me at contact@burlesqueregistry.com if you have any questions

A National Treasure

4 minutes

Music notes: Just a Bill on Capitol Hill & The Mission Impossible Theme

This was originally made for my troupe's Nic Cage tribute show. But it was so ridiculous I had to keep doing it. The declaration is a mattress topper I painted. The puzzles are from an earlier version where it was that I was supposed to unlock puzzles and find gold to get to the finale. They're loosely used, but also just can't remove them. This is my favorite number to do and the costume is going to be refined soon.

Riker

Music notes: How You Like Me Now - The Heavy

My Riker Chair act. Set phasers to stunning.

okay, I'll stop. Anyways, wanted to give Riker a proper burlesque treatment with a chair act. Costume improvements to come after a version of this (not listed) fought me on the sleeves

I wanna see the Colonel!

4m30s

Music notes: Can't Get Enough of Your Love Babe - Barry White

This is one of my signature numbers. There's a giant KFC bucket on stage. We open to the clip from Family Guy "I wanna see the Colonel!" and it cues to Barry White. Cue me on stage and up rises a chicken (puppeted) and it turns into a sultry romance strip tease for my love (the chicken). It ends in me on the ground in front of the bucket with the chicken spicing me in a sweet (and savory) turn of events

The Count (Censored)

3m30s

Music notes: Bach's Toccata En Fuge / The Count (Censored), from The Count (Sesame Street)

Cue a Vampire laying on stage in repose, when you hear the classic organ pipe music of Bach. Cue camp-y Vampire actions with a lot of cape work and drama.
After about 30s of that, cue The Count Censored. Which is a song about how everyone's favorite vampire on Sesame Street likes to count. Except the word is bleeped. He bleeps the candles on the wall (cue producing a candle from behind), he bleeps the spiders on the wall (cue producing a spider from the crotch), and when he's alone he bleeps himself.
Lots of drama, some russian dancing moves because I hate my knees, but a lot of fun.
