Frankie Fingerling is a neurodivergent multi-disciplinary artist with ancestral roots in southern China and Hong Kong. They are an occasional burlesque and drag performer, producer, emcee, classically-trained pianist, and budding standup comic. Frankie draws on their lived experience, personal healing journey, and continuously evolving worldview to shape what and how they create. Frankie's mind and body humble them everyday, as they uncover their true capacity and pace for navigating life.

This is a reverse strip draglesque number for a stage inspired by the story of my real life father and his immigration from Hong Kong to Canada in the 1970s. He first arrives as a goofy young man Faced with social pressures including racism, white supremacy, and the patriarchy, he dons all the shiny, sparkly things bestowed upon him. In this version, he leaves behind the things that no longer serve him.
