Crystal Mischief's (they/them) foray into the burlesque world began in Wellington, New Zealand in 2010, when they enrolled in their first transformative course under the tutelage of Miss La Belle’s House of Burlesque.

After graduating, Crystal’s innate flair for choreographing enchanting experiences led them to assist Miss La Belle in teaching and producing the course’s climactic graduation show, leveraging over two decades of invaluable event management expertise.

Emboldened by the thrilling rush of curating captivating live productions, Crystal established their own company, Glitterarti Events, to produce local burlesque showcases brimming with sensual splendor.

As their confidence blossomed alongside an ever-expanding social media presence, Crystal’s newsfeed became inundated with tantalizing glimpses into the world-renowned Burlesque Hall of Fame (BHOF) Weekender.

In 2015, they seized the opportunity to attend their first BHOF, an experience that forever transformed their creative trajectory.

Crystal’s passion for documenting the art form’s rich legacy manifested in insightful radio documentaries that explored the nuanced facets of this iconic event.

Their dedication and artistry culminated in 2017 with a groundbreaking role as the first New Zealander to assist in the official media and communications efforts for the BHOF Weekender itself.
