Lights fade onto a scene of a scientist attempting to swat a fly in their lab, the fly gets aways. The experiment must proceed. She gets into her "pod" (a photoshoot backdrop, back lit for shadow puppets). They take off all their clothing, only seen by shadow. A flicker of lights & she collapses. She puts her lab coat back on & stumbles out, now looking ill & disoriented. Noticing her skin isn't looking right, they open their coat to reveal: something went very wrong. All their skin is decaying, she panics shocked by how she looks. Then noticed a piece of skin their shoulder was peeling up, instinctually they pulled it & it peels off revealing "hairy" skin underneath. Panicked but curiously, they quickly rip the skin off their arm. Inspecting the new skin underneath & realizing it doesn't hurt, it actually feels good. They starts peeling the skin off their leg, releasing whatever creature is under the surface. They rip off the rest of their rotten human skin to expose brown, hairy, fly like skin. They run back into the pod to try the experiment again, maybe it could undo what's been done! Instead, they emerge with a fly's head. They have become Brundle-Fly, lights fade out.
