After a drink under a circus tent in Las Vegas. Instead of seeing a Green Fairy I saw a Green Demon. The demon tried to possess me but was overpowered. Instead of making the demon serve me I proposed we merge consciousness. The demon wondered why a mortal would suggest such a thing. I said it sounded like a fun bit of entertainment.
