This Indigequeer, fat foodie and self-described Weird Al of burlesque started with zero experience — no acting, no dance, no stripping — took a class in 2017, and somehow ended up founding The Freudian Slips Experience and co-founding the upcoming High Desert Heatwave Fiesta on nothing but butter puns and sheer audacity. Fae has dabbled in foodlesque, draglesque, neo-burlesque, classic burlesque, and kinklesque — and has produced everything from improv burlesque competitions to highly curated variety showcases in the greater Albuquerque area. Juni teaches from the trenches: the chaotic logistics, the shoestring budgets, and the creative problem-solving that keeps indie and regional burlesque alive.
